At Aikido Doushin Juku we have chosen to make the practice of Aikido as accessible
as possible to students of all ages and inclinations by creating two tracks Michi(Ή) and Bu().

Michi(Ή) means path and focuses on Kihon (ξ{jor fundamentals.
Bu() means martial and focuses on realistic application of Aikido techniques.

- Randori-Freestyle
Each of aspects has been developed into their own classes. Students should initially focus on Kihon and Michi classes.
All classes other than Basics (Kihon or Michi) require the permission from the chief instructor.
Anyone wishing to be truly competent in Aikido, acquire rank, and possibly progress to becoming an instructor should participate in both tracks.
Both tracks are vital to developing a deep understanding of the art.

The Samurai Sword classes emphasizes very traditional and effective swordsmanship, which leads to both practical
ability as well as an understanding of traditional martial arts. This is the art of the ancient samurai warrior,
developing a strong spirit, body and mind.

This course will consist of elements from basic sword handling, stances, and cuts. Students will progress from individual
to more advanced paired sword work.
